A fascination with the mystical and the occult unites the artists of the group exhibition "Modern Witchcraft 2." Luci van Org (formerly known for "Lucilectric"), Copper Head, Golem, and Andreas Hirsch are inspired by the dark promises of the uncanny and interweave dark romantic aesthetics with queer perspectives. Their works negotiate witchcraft, occult symbols, and rituals as an artistic practice between pleasure and terror. The queer emerges as a moment of liberation and transformation—a resistance to normative attributions and, at the same time, an invitation to discover desire and the possibility of new identities in the uncanny.

For the artist Andreas Hirsch, the act of artistic creation is a conscious and intentional manifestation of will and imagination. This creates energy that can change reality. Using practices such as automatic drawing and seal creation, Andreas Hirsch connects to the collective unconscious while exploring themes such as natural mysticism, folklore and the occult.
